I’d Be Home

If I’d gone to my critique group this evening, I’d be back home again by now.

They say when life hands you a lemon, make lemonade. Perhaps this evening, the lemon was my illness rearing its ugly head and leaving me unable to leave the house, the sugar was some creative inspiration, and the lemonade was another chapter written on book 3.

I really need to get back to work on Daughters.

Book 3, working title The Fall, just really wants to get written. I feel like I’m playing hooky, but I can’t seem to help myself. So many images dancing in my head — I just have to get them out!

And I know I promised I wouldn’t start any more new stories until I finished at least two of the ones I’m working on, but there’s this competition coming up … and it’s only 3500 words … and there are more images dancing in my head. (I’d like some cheese with that whine… tee hee.)

Busy place, my head.

Oh, one more thing. I’ve gotten a couple of anonymous emails — or maybe they were comments — from maybe the same person, saying they had checked the email notification box for new comments here. Now they were getting 3 emails every time someone posts a comment, and would I please turn that off, please? Given the fact that the comment included a link to some spam-ish website, I suspect it was a phishing attempt, but in case it was genuine I want to say: I haven’t the vaguest clue. I don’t see your settings on my end.

In case it was spam, I want to point out that I have no intention of replying from my email address. Neener neener. I’m not quite that old and demented. Yet.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled mayhem.

Just stopped by from Indies Unlimited. Hope you're feeling better, and you're able to get back to your books. P.S. I would have answered the email from my address – I also bought swampland in Louisiana.
