Thanks to SH (that’s Stupid Hip, the one that blew when my bicycle flipped out from under me in September 2005), I get to have an adenosine stress test next Friday, because I can no longer walk fast enough or long enough for a treadmill stress test.
/le sigh
I am not looking forward to this.
The reason for it is two episodes of punishing chest pain that literally knocked me to the floor, followed since by less severe but near-daily chest pain. It wasn’t a heart attack, thank ghu; electrocardiograms would show that (they wired me up six ways from Sunday — really, what can they possibly learn about my heart by attaching wires to my ankles?). My ECG was perfectly normal.
Really, how anybody can have pain that severe, and one of the best doctors in Pittsburgh can’t figure out why, or even where it’s coming from, is beyond me.
Stay tuned.
