Tying Up Daughters

I spent the afternoon today on the last scene of the last chapter of Daughters of Suralia.

It’s almost done. It’s almost there. I can almost taste that wonderful feeling I get when I finish something. And I’ll give you a hint: the topic of Tolari breeding practices comes up again (i.e., the way even bonded Tolari aren’t entirely monogamous). Because really — wouldn’t it drive you crazy?

It would certainly bother the heck out of me. My mother taught me to share, but she meant toys and treats, not sex partners. Come to think of it, I never was very good at sharing chocolate…

I can’t spoil very much of anything in Daughters, really, because a couple of really huge things happen that I can’t even hint at without spoiling the entire book. I’m going to have to be careful with the cover, for that matter (it’s not designed yet). I have an idea in mind for it, but it would be like flashing a big neon light in the readers’ eyes that said, “[blank] Ahead!” So I’m not sure at the moment how that’s going to work out.

I’m very pleased with the new final chapters. Here’s to hoping you will be too.
