Time was, I had a reading plan. Ha. Ha ha. Not anymore. Not since I got my first Kindle for Christmas 2011 (now I have three). Recently, for example, reading has gone something like this:
Read all the Deadwood mysteries.
Read the Mayhem in Mayfair books by Grace Callaway, then read Abigail Jones.
Wings of the Storm! Read read read.
Oh! I forgot I wanted to read more of the De Montfort Brothers! Read The Wicked One.
Lisa Renee Jones released another Tall Dark and Deadly novella! Read.
zOMG Baen eBooks is selling the first 10 books in the Liaden Universe series in packages. Start reading.
Wasn’t I going to finish the Vampires in America series?
Oh gosh I forgot to finish Rose Pressey’s Rylie Cruz books.
Read the next Liaden Universe book.
Oh flargle, I haven’t finished reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
The problem is, once I got my Kindle, downloading books became a great deal like eating potato chips. I see something that’s free just today, download it, look at it, and off I go on another tangent. There are hundreds of books on my Kindles now, and at the rate I’m adding to them, I’ll never catch up.
But at least it keeps me from thinking about The Lump. Most of the time.
